people are never going to learn... You CAN NOT include the cost of labor in the value of the vehicle...

If I added up all the hours I have spent wrenching on my Scrambler, at $80/h... I'd EASILY have a $120,000+ (not including parts) Jeep.... I'm glad I'm handy (and so is my wife!!)

The '83 limited "resto-mod" Wish I still had that slate blue dash pad and steering wheel. It was sold with the oem top too, with limited only headliner, and hard doors with limited only slate blue Laredo - style door panels.

That frikin exhaust pipe !!

I know that's a resto-mod, but no gauge surrounds on the dash?

For the record, I prefer no vinyl surround on the guages, but am surprised to see a jeep that nice without one.

Wow Eric that is a beauty. Now I know what mine looked like back in the day. Thats the color combo mine came with. The tub was to far gone and the frame needs a little help. Maybe if I buff the paint I can get half this guys asking price? :rotfl:

Im keeping the theme of the Limited with mine but its going to be a resto mod, heavy on the mod. Now that I think about it a little more I probably wont get half his asking price since mine is "some assembly required".

At the time it was a preference thing as well. Since the dash was uncut i decided not to put it on since I liked the look of the silver dash against the slate blue without it best.

Pete. Is yours slate blue on the outside ? It looks more blue than silver. If so I have some pics ill have to dig up of a slate on slate limited with under 20k orig miles.

I like Slate Blue but that is a bit much.

I agree with u. This was the 23k mile one. Not under 20 but was close, Collins bros had this one maybe 5-7 years ago.

I have not seen this one on Ebay yet but suspect for $29,000 on Craigslist it will be there shortly.

So all limited had black windshields

Sent from my SPH-L900

Yes. That is the one part of the Limited package I never understood. I know the early CJ's had black windshield frames but it just looks out of place on the Limiteds.

Couldn't agree more ! Why I didn't paint mine 1000%. Also the upper door frames were also black. Then it has to merge into a body colored hardtop. No merge there. Ugly package. Bad AMC. Bad.
