Guys

I fortunate enough to be able to participate in the 2014 Ultimate Adventure in my 81 Scrambler. The jeep did great only broke a couple drivelines. My son and I drove 2050 miles in the jeep. From North Platte Ne to Salem Mo via Iowa and Illinois and back to North Platte. We had 23 rigs from a flat fender to the Ultimate Adventure Tub. Which was the feature vehicle that they built for the trip. We meet some of the best offroad guys in the business and made a lot of friends. Rick Pewe the editor in charge was great. He kept us on our toes the whole trip. Not knowing where we were going all week. He kept the destinations a secret. You can see my pics of the trip on my website. www.mules.smugmug.com Click on jeeping and then the UA gallery.

Those pictures are better than anything that the magazine will put out. Thanks for sharing. I plan on wasting (ahem) spending a lot of time browsing the pictures today.

What's up with all the stickers? Did they make you put them on there for this adventure? I saw other pics of your rig without them and was wondering if they were magnets or stickers or what?

Stickers
At least when I went on jk experience a couple years ago
With Mel(owner of off-road evolution he puts this on too)
Stickers are for the paid sponsors
Very cool trip, jealous...my 8 isn't up for something like that, not yet at least

No they are real stickers. I put them on to support the sponsors. All the sponsors are very supportive. I got a set a tires from Nitto, which by the way are awesome. They are the quietest and smoothest tires I have ever had. And the traction in all the mud and rocks was great. Warn completely rebuilt my winch and JW Speaker gave me a ton of lights to use.

Mel came with us this year. He was a lot of fun to have on the trip. His M-37 did really good.

Thanks, yes it was a great trip. It was nice having my son along for all the fun. He got to do most of the off road driving and I did most of the road driving. She needs a little paint work after the adventure. Other then 2 busted drive lines the jeep did awesome. I think we might have fixed the driveline issue. We took the yoke to a Scott's 4x4 some where in southern Ill and we clearance the u-joint and yoke.

Thanks. It was a lot of fun to take the pictures, to help keep a record of the trip.
