I would guess they had a soft cover the went from the roll bar towards the back with an angle support to a rear bar that strapped down to the back of the bed.

I don't have any children, SO I don't have to wait till Christmas!! Scrambler is on the rack, the windshield is the CJ6.

My CJ8 hasn't been out of the shop for a long time, so not dick for it. I own to LJ's one stock and one built a bit. The Stock one has been ducked 4 or 5 times the built one has never been ducked. I have no real preference either way.
