I live in Colorado and have the Howell kit on my Scrambler with a 4.2L 258. I live @ 7900ft. and drive anywhere from down in the valley @ 5000ft to over trail ridge road @ 12,000ft. It provides a more consistent fuel air mix and I haven't had any issues. It seems to have more consistent power...

Some fresh snow a couple weeks ago.

I added latches and attached the clasp to the visor mounts.

The old 258 was showing it's age. So in with a remanufactured engine from S & J engines.

I used this as a guide and bought new hardware locally.

I'm not sure if the CJ7 or 8 are any different but the template fit my 8 perfect.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this post! Especially @93_Fummins for the great template. It worked out great for cutting my aftermarket mudflaps.

Thanks! My jeep did not have them originally and I want to make sure I get the right hardware and drill holes in the right spot the first time!

Does anyone know the proper hardware needed to mount OEM front and rear mudflaps or if anyone sells a hardware kit for them? I want to say the hardware may have spacers of some type. Thanks
