It’s literally just 2 wires and a push button switch so I can’t imagine there being much difference between brands
For a 258 you would hook up one wire to the positive terminal of the battery, and the other one to the solenoid. By energizing the solenoid that will engage the starter. You don’t want to hook up directly to the starter because the wires and switch can’t handle that kind of current.
This will turn the starter and crank it but if you actually want the car to start you need to have the key in the “on” position or also run power to the ignition
