1984 Jeep CJ-7 full electric conversion

Hard Regen was too much for my liking. I settled on Medium... No and Low regen was too little stopping resistance.

1984 Jeep CJ-7 full electric conversion

Ever think about a switch on the clutch pedal similar to the brake light switch to turn off re-gen? Personally, I love regen and using the clutch to feather the torque, Care to share a picture of your throttle band? I will get mine at some point, just havent connected my PC in awhile.

1984 Jeep CJ-7 full electric conversion

Okay, I can see how this works in theory and know how to program this but does this mean you have a "hard" connection from output shaft of the motor to input shaft of the transmission? Do you have any pictures?

1984 Jeep CJ-7 full electric conversion

A few comments. Overheating 1 - super warm night, I charged before I want out in the evening, charging causes heat in the battery modules. When I got about 25 miles from home with no tools, it stopped responding to throttle. Hooked up the laptop, it was above 50C (~120F) in the battery...

1984 Jeep CJ-7 full electric conversion

What does your throttle map look like? I havent pulled mine in awhile but its fairly tame. Once I hit a certain part of the map, the jeep takes off like someone hit it with Nitrous. If I wanted to, with an aggresive map, I could probably get 0-60 in 8 seconds but I am not that confident in the...

    Giving it a Jolt

Correct, that is the bracket I used. I would need to understand what is meant by "leverage". Activating the booster takes significantly less pressure so I have zero concern about durability. I also created an aluminum spacer to accommodate for the different pushrod lengths. So far so good.

    Carpet Set

Anyone have a suggestion on a good source for a full carpet set? I have found a few old references but those who had a full set now only seem to offer the front.

    Giving it a Jolt

Took me too long but finally got the wiring done, the custom brake lines installed and the brakes bled. Took it for a spin and locked up all 4 tires (pretty much) just backing out of the driveway. Definitely a light touch and massive stopping power... Will send pictures in a bit but not much...

    What's on your Work Bench?

That would be impressive. My wife told me if I took the tree down, she would be going with it. I still like her so I try not to damage the tree.
