Hello again: OK, the Jeep is now in assembling proccess...
I received it from the paint shop recently and yesterday the other shop, for fiber works, returns me the top finished.
Soon I'll post a lot of pictures of proccess, but now I leave a few...
OK; near-finished the dissasambling job...
Next step is the rear of the body, some more tubes and wires and then to the paint shop....
I think this Scrambler left the factory in black color with tan interior, because is the first paint layer that I've find.
I can't find a trim decoder for...
Hello....
Today I started to disassemble the Scrambler... some stucked bolts but not so much....
The next step is, of course, removal of all power train...
In the past days I was working on the hardtop, I don't want to repeat so I let you a pair of pics only...
Oh... I don't know where to...
Just like an anecdote... when I was going to the inspection, I had to test everything: ligths, turn lights, warnings, license plates, documents... and belts. So I had the Jeep at the door of my garage with engine on and redy to go... I closed the half door and try to set the belt... no!! it...
WOW!!! Now we are selling that ISUZU engine in 500€ and sure will be used on a forklift truck!! just because here are a few CJ's with this engine and its really slow, lazy... I think if it had a turbo, sure will go so much better....
Well, today I received the high doors hinges, so tomorrow will...
Neither me... I promise to take detailed pictures of this reinforcement, once I dismount all interior.
Yesterday started checking the top....
Next movement will be to hold the rear part in tis place, check all again and start to put the resin...
At the other hand, I planned to dissasembly both...
Hi...
Please, take a look, Does anyone have a reinforcement like this on body? I discovered today making a little cleaning inside, because tomorrow I'll go to de Inspection...
It's running under both door openings... It's a rectangular shaped steel tube, wasn't bended at home shop or so...
Wow!! Thank you very much!!
I really appreciate this action and sure, I will post more pics right now....
At this moment I've cut and dimensioned the new hardtop. Due it's my second top, I could make more precise cuts and the gap between both parts are minimum... But I can't put it in the Jeep...
Hello friends.
My job over my Scrambler has had an echo and now I will restore the only other Scrambler of Spain. I'm starting with a diesel unit, Isuzu 2.4 engine, to be removed of course, with T176. I will put a refreshed 4.0 and, again carbureted (we can't set with EFI any historic vehicle)...
OK, I think will take the 9" power booster, because I have hidraulyc clutch and don't know if the S-10 booster with YJ bracket could not have enought room.... We have rear discs and the Corvette pump was the choice at first time...
Thank you very much....
Hello: OK, I'm having problems to stop CJs with 33" and larger tires... At this moment I want to improve the front brakes, replacing the stock calipers with ones with 4 pistons in place of 1... Larger pads with adequate presure and I think this will be a good stuff....
I Will start with a pair...
Hello... OK, in the next months I will restore the second (we think that and mine are the only!) Scrambler in Spain... but it comes with a poor diesel engine. We want to fit the same that I did in mine, a 4.0 carbureted but we can't find a intake manifold (and accel. linkage) to make it.
I know...
