Needing to upgrade the brakes on the CJ8 and it has disc in the front and drum in the rear. What is the best brake kit that will make this Jeep stop better?

Yes, that's why I had to go with 16" rims.Wow, 2500 series rotors are massive compared to stock CJ rotors.
John, I am thinking I need to add more stopping power now that I am on 35s. I have heard about hydro assist, but was leaning toward just a dual diaphragm set up. I suppose you are happy with your set up?Install a duel diaphragm booster and matching master cylinder. It will make a significant difference in your braking. I used the Navaho system from Off Again Off Road. There are others.
I’m quite satisfied with what I have, it stops well, even in 4:1 low range with the automatic. Hydro boost is more stopping power and a bit more involved to install, but it will put your nose on the windshield in a heartbeat.John, I am thinking I need to add more stopping power now that I am on 35s. Isn't the A-Team Performance an 8" booster? Still a nice setup.I ended up going with a 9” dual diaphragm set up (A-team performance) and I am very happy. The Scrambler is on 35” tires and the pedal feel is so much better and so much more reactive.
Same amount of room for a hydraulic clutch master cylinder on the YJ bracket as the CJ bracket. A lot more YJ's had factory hydraulic clutches over CJ's.OK, I think will take the 9" power booster, because I have hidraulyc clutch and don't know if the S-10 booster with YJ bracket could not have enought room.... We have rear discs and the Corvette pump was the choice at first time...
Thank you very much....
Mine is a Vanco unit that I put in to go with the Cherokee 44/Grand Waggy HD20 and I've been happy with that setup on 35s. Good enough to drive all over the damn countryI ended up going with a 9” dual diaphragm set up (A-team performance) and I am very happy.
