Thanks for all the advice guys. I actually found someone to rebuild the one I have if I haul his excavator on my lowboy about 30 miles. I like trading. Might not be the best transmission but it’s good enough for a run around town scrambler.
I have a 4.0 motor out of Cherokee but that seems like a lot of work to swap out. I also have a 258 in my blue scrambler but it has a T4 that would be easier to swap engine and transmission. I just hate to spend $1,500 to rebuild the T5
So I have a T5 in my 84 scrambler and a Dana 300 transfer case behind a little 4 cylinder. Transmission is trashed. My guy working on it says I should put an ax15 in it . But if I want it back together to take it to nationals I should just find another T5 and go with it.
1) does anyone have one...
I used it in my 65 Oldsmobile 442
Put it everywhere! Roof doors floors trunk that stuff is awesome. But I never have taken the olds off road and it has certainly never seen rain
Well it’s absolutely pouring down rain so back to getting my new shop together. Decided I should get my sign I had made put up. I think it looks good. Working with Dustin to make me a scrambler one next.
Managed to get ole blue into shop today. Also frame for # 4
Grey one is down getting a transmission rebuild as I guess that 4 cylinder was just to much power!
yeah i live an hour north of there but traffic is getting ridiculous here as well. that's why my next move will be west to a population of below 500 people
Been busy building a new shop at my house. Tired of traffic these days. What used to take 20 minutes is now 40 so I’ll just build one at home. Also went to Florida for bike week and was stoked that my bike and wife’s Jeep fit on trailer.
Well I have my 4 and wife will kill me if I even think about another 8
Been waiting 3 1/2 months for a builder to get my new building put up 50x80 so I have a place to work/store them
