I run 87 in mine. No issues. The mpi system won't care about an RV cam. The 91-95 mpi system is very basic and can easily deal with mods all you need to do is go up in injector size.
Bfoster I am in Franklin if you ever need a hand or some parts. I keep a few around here. I may be able to help you out on some of your issues with your build.
I wish they would keep making the original KO and the KO2. I think they may be getting rid of the KO. It's my fav tire on a CJ. KO2 looks good but on a really original CJ it may look a little too modern?
Those turn signal lights are wrong every time. Been down that road too. Every single crown or omix parts for cj's has a feature that is wrong or looks wrong. I just don't get it.
Well if you figure a 2000lb trailer and a 4000lb scrambler plus gear that will put you really close to the 7000. If it's for short pulls and not in the mountains you may be alright. Long hauls with hills I wouldn't consider anything but a 1/2 ton.
Yea but it's going in a CJ. So it will def need worked on! That being said the fiberglass one piece front ends cause more problems then they are worth IMO.
My guess is the pilot bushing got compressed too. I had this happen recently. I used sand paper to knock a few tenths off the input shaft. Then it slid right in.
I get the snow plow and longevity part. Also the fact that diesel was cheaper years ago made it a big advantage. I trade my trucks every 75k miles so I don't deal with longevity problems. I still get good trade in value with 75k or less miles. With diesel being 30% higher price, much higher...
I don't see why anyone would want to put up with a diesel truck to pull a jeep. The new 1/2 ton trucks pull 7-9k lbs no problem. In fact the ecoboost I had never dropped below 5th gear up hill with the cruise control set at 75. Also diesel is nearly a $1 a gallon more. So any savings you...
I totally understand your wanting that jeep back. I would prepare yourself for it being gone as in parted out but I wouldn't give up either. I fear that you will find that it has not been registered in a long time. So many cj's have been parted. I would say 80-90% of them.
Never seen a...
