I did a search and could not find a Nutmeg paint code for my 1984 Half Cab hard top.

Either the paint codes or direction to links related to are appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, I had the same trouble. I have found tables for body color, interior color, etc but not for the top. However, when I went to get paint for the body the supplier had the color code for the top in his charts (PPG paint in my case). I'd suggest calling a good paint supplier. Most good ones have stacks of color charts listed by make and model. Also, my supplier told me the gloss level is specific for the fiberglass top. Not sure about that but something to ask about.

That's interesting. I've noticed the top on the 85 Scrambler we have isn't a match to the Honey interior; it's a bit darker, more like a denim tan. I know it's original, and I want to paint the ACME full length top I just bought the same color as the original top. I'll check with NAPA here and see if they can pull it up (they're the only place to get paint in my little town).

Good question, I posted the fololowing question in teh Tops forum the other day but havent heard anything, maybe got the wrong spot for it, any ideas?

My Scrambler came orignally with a blue half soft top, which I still have and recently had restitched but it's shrunk up to where the original doors dont mate up well and the vinyl is cracking in the top so I havent had it on in a while. I currently have a hard top, faded tanish color that I am thinking of pulling and doing some clean up/repair/repaint/whatever.

First Question:
I've seen hard half cabs in black, I've seen White and I've seen the tanish I have, were there other colors available ? I like the light blue soft top on it aesthetically, but not the way it leaks... The jeep is white, though a more old english white than a refrigerator white if that makes sense and I'm afraid a white top, that matched the body, would be too monotone but I'm not big on either the Black or Tan. I had thought about just doing whatever I felt like when it came time to decide but I think I'd like a plan going in.... I know, very uncharacteristic....

Second question:
Ive read that the Krylon fusion paint for plastic works well, anyone with direct experience with that? I've also thought about having a spray on bedliner applied once I get the tub sprayed. I know it would add weight but any other downside to it?

Thoughts in general?

I sprayed my CJ7 top with SEM vinyl paint back in 2002ish and it lasted 5-6 years before it began to fade/get powdery looking. The SEM "Camel" is a perfect match for Honey used in 85-86 interiors. That said, the Scrambler was ordered with a Honey hardtop and it is noticibly darker than the interior color, looks more like denim tan to me.

I'll probably reshoot my '7 hardtop and the ACME I just picked up with the SEM paint if something better doesn't come up in the near future.

Thanks I wasnt familiar with SEM paints, I'll do some digging and take a look
