Thanks for the offer to help. I appreciate it. I will check back with you and your status in early July if I see we will need help. Hope it works out that you can attend. Looks like we will have over 30 Scramblers and around 70 people planning to attend. Going to be a great event.

Nice pictures. What a preview of what to expect at our National Event.

More preview pictures. These were taken last year when we were out on the Colorado Scramble.

Please keep them comming. They continue to up the excitement of our trip. The wife and I are counting the days.

I call SPOBI. There is no way that place exists. This is just another space aliens exist / bigfoot sighting / the moon landing was filmed in the Arizona desert sorta' thing.

We are REALLY going there next month? REALLY?!! How am I am supposed to concentrate on work for the next 4 weeks? How am I supposed to do that when I pee my pants every time you post something like that?:banghead::fingerscrossed::woot:

Sam, I can't wait to see your reaction when you get to soak in the real thing. It is so awesome you will want to go back every year.

LOL. Unfortunately, Sam won't be coming. You'll have to make do with his parents, Beth & Kevin. And, while I am "soaking", don't try stuffing any dollar bills in my shorts, either.:D

Dang, I was thinking the whole clan was coming. As for the dollar bills, there will not be any dollars left over after gas money.

Arrrrrrggggg!!!!

I am still planning on going to this event...but getting the jeep road worthy is driving me INSANE!!!

I am hoping to leave July 16th and take the northern route to see the sights and such with my daughter. I hope to get into town saturday.
I should be comming from Moab when I show up.

But getting ready is driving me absolutly nutz!!!:eek:

I know it will all be worth it, but I'm afarid I'll be burned out by the time I go to leave for this. :(:(

Hows everyone else doing?

You're in the same boat as me then. My wife and I talked about going to this event about 6 months ago and decided that the Jeep needed too much work and the trip would cost too much to make. Then about 2 months ago we talked about it again and decided that all of the "parts money" that I have been saving does not make any memories for the family. So we(or should it say I) made the comittment to work on my Jeep every weekend until the event weekend or all of the "list" is completed. I estimated about 70+ hours on the short list which so far has been pretty accurate. Unfortunately I did not account for enough time to re-invent the wheel fixing a lot of things the original builder did wrong that ambushed me along the way. So far I'm pretty close at finishing the "have-to's" but there are still quite a few things on the "want-to" list. Either way it'll be worth all of the effort by the time I'm there with my family enjoying things even if there is no candle left to burn anymore....:)

Sounds awesome! The closest national yet and out of 52 weeks the parasite decides to travel those very same days for her only trip this year, sticking me with crap around here. And yes, I had told here when it was, probably why those dates were stuck in her feeble mind

Have fun

Rock-n-Roll: WOW!! Just beautifull!!! I cant wait to get there. I am soo looking foreward to this trip!!

Heres an update from my post above:
Well its been 9 dyas of work, almost nonstop, and I am closer to getting done. :fingerscrossed:

Here is my list of things left to do:
Install front axle, tie-rod/drag link, brakes, hubs, and lockouts, vacume booster/master cylender and bleed the brakes.
install seats front and rear, seat belts and full cage (that needs to be built)
remove 3" body lift and install new 1" body lift/mounts combo
fabricate shift levers for NP231 doubler box and D300.
fix windshield wipers
find and repair electrical issue that is killing the power to half of the fuse box :banghead:
find a 'hot' tap in the fuse box that is 'hot' while cranking the engine for the HEI ignition (any sugestions guys?)
install the full soft top
mount the front bumper.
pack for the trip.

Hmmmm.....I am planning on leaving Saturday the 16th....for some reason, I think its going to be later than that.

Mysusnshine: Yea, I completely understand the situation your in with yours as well. I just feel my boat is sinking faster than I can bail it out :banghead:

Yea, mine has been such a pain in the rear that I could not even replace down a stock set of morrors without taking an hour to do. It'll be all good by the time I'm there though...
