2026 SOA Nationals - Event Announcement

Anyone planning to run anything Sunday before the event?
Was kicking around hitting Poughkeepsie.

We'll be coming over from Dolores Sunday, so we can't... And, it's probably more than ol Blue would be good at... ;)

We'll be around Sunday but won't be wheeling. Pizza at the Gold Belt in Ouray for dinner anyone??

Wondering how many of ya'll drive your Jeeps to Ouray versus trailer/tow them? Really awesome SOA location choice. Maybe I'll join one day, just not there yet.

I have driven it in the past, or at least towed in flat behind our MH. The dang roads are so rough now wit 290K on it, it has earned the right to be trailered. The roads beat the suspension to death last year, so on a trailer now unless it is less than 300 miles or so. 1600+ this year...

FYI for those coming, if you haven't been to CO during July, know it is monsoon season. Been here 2 days, rained both afternoons. Not hard or bad, but it does rain about 2:00 (1400 hours) each day...

So yesterday we drove the fully paved San Juan Skyway loop that is about 230+ miles long. Only took pics at one stop- Lizard Head Pass. Filled up Blue along the way at about 220 miles and got 18mpg, which with the 410s surprised me... ;) The scenery was really nice. Did see some smoldering fires east of 550. And of course, afternoon monsoon rain from Silverton -->Durango-->Cortez--> back to Dolores and Priest Gulch... Next week gonna be fun!
