I apologize, I thought that I had listed this here but have not. Here it is however...

The 24th Annual Colorado Scramble will be July 22nd, 23rd & 24th in Idaho Springs, CO. It will be right after the National Scramble in Ridgeway, CO.

There a number of lodging opportunities - Just simply google "Lodging in Idaho Springs".

We'll meet in the parking lot of the town park at 8:30 each morning and go out from there.

Trails...
Wed - Day One: Fall River Rd to Hamlin Gulch Part of Yankee Hill Rd, Miners Gulch, Mosquito Creek Rd, Kingston Peak. (This day will have two sections that are considered Difficult)

Thurs - Day Two: Red Elephant Hill, Mill Creek Loop, Bill Moore Lake. (This day will have one long section that is considered Difficult)

Friday - Day 3: Spring Creek (the hardest and most challenging trail we'll do), Lamartine Rd, Trail Creek Rd. (This days main trail is considered Severe/More Difficult the rest is moderate)

It has been brought to my attention that the Scrambler Owners Association (SOA) has Reneged on the agreement that I had with their event coordinator to hold these two events back to back. So, it would help everyone out to do at least two days of each one.

NOW you know why I do NOT trust these people, as a whole. And I will NEVER agree to do anything with them again, period!

Mike Starkebaum and Jason Adams have both shared their grievances and I appreciate them for that. So that it is crystal clear Mike had Nothing to do with this decision. They wouldn’t listen to him!

BUT here is the bottom line - if anyone chooses to spend time and money with these people that is 100% up to you to do so. It’s a shame that they fold to a few whiners and blow off people that work with them. YOU have a choice to still leave there whenever you want to! Or to not even go at all. It’s that simple.

Now everyone who chooses to stay there the whole time and come for only one day well I say come on over. I don’t like it and I won’t hide that, but come on over and have a good time for a day.

Anyone that is on that board who chose to stab me in the back without even the guts to contact me, just go on home. I know you will try to justify your action in this with some bull shit excuse BUT you are still spineless people and I’ve got no need or want for you to be around me.

If you can Ignore your own event coordinators wishes and their commitments, then I know you don’t give a shit about me OR those people that I was trying to help out.

Everyone, Please do what your conscious tells you to do. I still believe this is your vacation as always.

NO ONE wants to admit it, but the SOA was my idea in the first place. YES, its true. Matt had a friend Matt that had the idea I guess for some kind of club a bit before I came along but it NEVER happened, some years later I suggested the SOA by name and it took off fast and happened. Yes I was involved in the way things started out alsio. Funny how archives that far back don’t exist anymore, but I personally will continue to have nothing to do with them! I took a chance here because Mike asked me and for Jason but they have flat out passed on it. I have ZERO problems with Matt have always like the ghim, good guy, but when I saw him called the godfather of the SOA I did get a good chuckle out of that...lol.

What it take to run the difficult sections, IE; tires, lift, armor?

I dunno, not much if you dont mind a little help if need be. Some folks are not open to help. Point is if your stock on say 33s we we'll get you through it and that is our Goal, "get all through it safely "!

Its not noted to scare anyone genuinely. Just to let all know whats up. As an example, many years ago we ran Spring Creek (the hardest trail) and a dude in a Stock Scrambler on 32s, he asked if he could do it....well sure, but I told him the possibility of "some kind of damage 'could occur ". He got Through with help along the way but ended up bending one of his stock CJ side step, no biggie... Wrong! That dude was way pissed at me.

The point I suppose is that anything can happen and the again... nothing can. Wheeling, eady to hard core, is a relatively calculated risk. That has to ultimately on each individual. YOU WOULD NOT.BE LEFT on your own! So its really up to you.

Hello everyone... Do not be overly cautious because I mentioned the "considered difficult sections". They are rated at a 5-6, which really is moderate. There are a few off camber spots and a few minor rocky spots... thats it!

I might consider it, I am planing on the SOA event in Quary/Ridgeway, I will keep thinking about it. Looked at the calendar again not enough time to make both, dates over lap.

Come on. We plan leave for Idaho Springs on Wednesday after the National trail ride that day. Will give us 2 days at the Colorado Scramble.

Welp maybe you can work it out. We'll have fun for sure.
