Advice on shocks

I want to run Bilstein shocks and wanted to ask for advice here. I'm running RE 4.5 springs, 35's, SUA. I have a lot of added weight with the rear bumper tire carrier, full roll cage and 2 rear bench seats. Anyone using bilstein 5100 that care to share their experience? Any other brands you care to advice? Thanks in advance.

I am running the Bilstein 5125 shocks. I have a spring over suspension. I worked with Bilstein support. They were very helpful and provided part numbers that would work for me. I also have a friend that runs them and took his advice to get stiffer valving due to the full camping load we carry frequently and we have heavy Scramblers. Mine is 5,200 lbs when fully loaded for a trip.

Here's the post that shows the shocks I run with part numbers. Most shock sites don't show you the valving. Bilstein's site does.

I've put 2,300 miles on my Scrambler since getting it running. I love these shocks. Both loaded and unloaded. Very smooth and they soak up bumps extremely well. On a mild trail, I was able to travel much faster than when I ran Rancho RS-9000's. I felt more control and found the handling was more predictable.

Hope that helps.
