Alternator upgrade

I have a stock alternator in my 82 CJ-8, 4.2l and need to upgrade to charge the under hood battery, my National Luna portable power pack battery in the bed and on occasion the battery in the OR trailer. Looked at everything from a 105 amp to 200+ amp battery. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info. Do I need to do any mods to my wiring, upgrade, heavier wire etc, if I go bigger?

Depends on how big... anything over about 80-90 would probably benefit from heavier gauge wire to the starter relay and battery if you plan to draw that kind of power (along with appropriate size mega fuse or breaker).

Went with the Powermaster 150 amp alternator...somehow a new Dakota Digital gauges setup and a Painless wiring harness got attached to it!!! Still trying to explain how that happened...
