Bucket, the 1981 CJ8 frame off.

So I am going back and forth on wiring for this. The aftermarket tub came with a hole for the later model bulkhead fuse block... and the project came with a new Centech, in all the bags, wiring harness.

Thing is, engine, trans, cooling fans and fuel pump will be controlled by Holley Terminator X Max... and the gauges will use a Dakota Digital BIM to read the can bus. So I could get away with a different harness and I really want to use the later style bulkhead. HVAC is wired via the Dakota Digitals controller, so don't even have that.

Thoughts?

I forgot how much it sucked to do the wiper linkage, out of order... haven't done this in more than 30 years, lol.

It will be interesting to see how this compares to the module gpassida used for his build.
Isn't that a YJ delay box? I've done that before.

I prefer it all in the switch.

I've used these Newport switches in other projects, just not a Jeep.

Definitely keep us posted on if you get this switch working. If it works with the Scrambler two speed wiper motor, I like how it functions better than the Revolution Electronics adapter I put in. Mine works great - you just have to remember the sequence to go through the intermittent speeds. I have no problem but my wife struggles since she doesn't drive the Scrambler much.

Well, I can tell you they work with a two speed motor, as I have this installed in my IH and about 20 other 60's and 70's cars with oem 2 speed motors.

I did install a YJ motor into my CJ8, just because it was clean and has a smaller connector, as my tub had no holes in it for anything.

When the switch is set to intermittent, it just pulses the 12V feed.

That's great. Is the shaft the same as the stock switch so we can add a billet knob?

Don't know, yet, never done one with a CJ knob. I have done other billet knobs on em.
But I also have a lathe and mill...

I didn't like how tall this was, so my son and I swapped in stock YJ leaves.

I can't get the dual 2.5" exhaust passed the Gen-right skid and 20g fuel tank, I decided to build my own. It will use a Gm sending unit and be about 44g in 1/8" aluminum with a 3/16" skid plate.

Also sending my top down to Gr8tops.com to be refurbished. I bought a different one that had seat belt holes and will take a slider window.

Were you able to contact Gr8tops.com ?
Yes. :flipoff2:

What pitman arm did you end up running?
I used a flat pitman arm sourced from partsmike.com. They drill and ream it to your specs. It is very strong.

Mine was drilled 5.25" center to center.

My steering setup is amazing. Strong and tracks perfectly straight with no wander and lots of clearance. I don't run a steering stabilizer. I also have the new PSC pump, Big Bore gearbox, new Borgeson shaft and the Wolf Engineering steering column bearing.
