TRYING TO PLAN MY BUILD UP, WANT TO GET SOME DIFFERENT VIEW/OPTIONS OF REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE. I HAVE AN 84 CJ8 WITH A STOCK 258, STOCK DRIVE TRAIN , WITH 4 SPEED. IT HAS A 4 INCH LIFT WITH 31 BFG. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS TO HAVE A RELIABLE, SMOOTH RUNNING, EASY CRANKING ENGINE CAPABLE OF HIGHWAY SPEEDS (65-70) WITH OUT OVER TAXING THE ENGINE. PLAN TO PUT 33" ON (WHAT GEAR SELECTION WOULD BE BEST?). AFTER READING THIS BOARD FOR OVER A YEAR I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WANT TO KEEP THE 258 UNTIL IT DIES (HAS 160,000 MILES, BUT STILL RUNS GOOD.) WEBER CARB VS. TBI?. EXPLAIN WHAT THE ADVANTAGE IS OF PUTTING 4.0 HEADS ON. JEEP WILL BE A DAILY DRIVER WITH LITTLE OFF-ROADING. WOULD LIKE IT TO BE ABLE TO TOW SMALL JOHN BOAT OR SEADOO. JEEP HAS A/C AND I WANT TO KEEP THAT. CAN'T SHOW UP TO WORK SOAKING WET!
