Buzz's 1981 Scrambler rescue

Welcome from Norristown, not too far away from you.

Few more pictures. Where did you find it? I’m in Coopersburg

Looks practically rust- free for a PA rig. Great to see her being saved.

Looks pretty solid. Local buy or another state?

It's far from rust free. There is filler all along both quarters. floors and bed are shot. frame is rough as well.

I am located outside of Kutztown. I bought it from a neighbour over the hill.

Vin on windshield does not match the body. Titled vin is 1981 4 cylinder. Haven't decoded the vin on the tub yet.

Full restoration is intended. This will be my first Scrambler. Have tackled a few Willys in past as well as a YJ. Here's a link to FB page if anyone is interested in checking out some of my other projects. I look forward to learning from and contributing to this group.

It had a 4.2 in it. I plan to build a modified 4.2 for it with stepped up cam, improved intake and carburetion, dual exhaust. The Clifford setups look interesting but $$$.

Got tub off frame today. Tub is really bad. I can fix anything, but not sure if I will take on this tub.IMG_20220319_143641_230.jpg

I've owned worse. Cut it up with a plasma cutter. "Body" was half aluminum diamond plate, wood, metal fence posts. Wish I had pictures of the hot mess.
