Dash pad or no dash pad?

When my father purchased the jeep in 1990 it had the original black dash pad. Somewhere along the way it was taken off because it was cracking and rotting away. The jeep is now in my possesion, and I think I want to put a new dash pad on it. Im 50/50 on it. What do you guys think?

Its not a factory "correct" restoration project. I just want it to look good.

I took mine off and gave it away... I like the flat dash on a Jeep.
 
What are you going to do with your Jeep? If you plan on putting in a cage- it will get in the way. If not- I think they look good.
 
I don't have one on mine (how I bought it). But I think they look good. I vote for it.
 
i like the dresser look with the dash pad plus I think it quiets the wiper motor whine a bit
 
I like the pad. The aftermarket reproduction is faithful to the original.
