Door Vinyl Install

Collins brothers sells the Phoenix ones. They have a little bit of texture but not like the originals unless they made a change recently. Looking forward to seeing what you say

I say that they are very thin, have the wrong texture and are the wrong color to boot. They are more of a standard brown color than they are a nutmeg. Don't waste you money on the ones from Collins brothers/phoenix graphics

I bought the door handles and the felt window trim from J & G Classic Jeeps. George sells direct but you can look him up on eBay his username is cjlaredo.

Did these handles go right in or did you have o modify? I read sometimes you have to modify because they are really Yj handles.

he said that he had to modify them. I would also like to find a set that doesn't require modification. I would also like to find out how to buy from cjlaredo (George) off of feebay so I can hopefully get a discount on the multiple items that I need.

Just do an ebay user search for him and then send him a message.

Not sure about the YJ thing. The doors would function but the had a little "catch" when you opened them. I used a die grinder to make a small notch. This allowed additional articulation of the handle.

Thanks... The overall look and feel are close, good reproductions (appearance). From what I have heard they vary quite a bit and some of them don't come with the rubber gasket. When I got mine, they looked identical on the exterior and had the gaskets, but the mechanisms were different. The one on the left was thin and just looked weak. I sent it back and got another one that had the heavier mechanism. After putting them in, the door wouldn't open. It needed just a little bit more travel, so I used a small sanding disk and removed some material where the mechanism contacts the stop. I also had to grind down the shims that hold the handles in place. They were a little to tall to fit into the new handles. Now they work and look great.

The handles come down to supplier as far as which one is better but still both brands will be Chinese imports. One has a better quality and better grey color on inside but I don't remember off top of my head which one it is , crown or omix. I do know he sells the better of the two.

NOS is made of unobtanium anymore , and for the reasons we say here as far as the issues with the replacements if found online on eBay will fetch a high price as much as $60-$100 per side.

Maybe I should just give mine a good scrubbing and re-chrome them, of course I say that without knowing what that would cost
