FINALLY!!! A Build Thread of My '82 Scrambler!

Just a little XJ update...swapping a newer head from an '03-'06 Grand Cherokee on it. FYI, this job sucks. I've got the new head on, now I just need to torque the bolts and begin the reassembly procedure]

You got new head bolts right? They are torque to yield bolts

Ok, back on topic...the Scrambler tub is coming out of hibernation!

Got back to some body work. First had to clean it up then attacked the rubbery, oil-based undercoating that was all over the firewall.

this cost me 10 bucks on amazon. I stripped 5 rims and a whole front floor boards and still have 1/4 can left. It smells to high heaven but get the job done quickly. No crazy hot melted paint getting thrown all over.

I use aircraft paint stripper. As of now the firewall has been cleaned however I will need to clean the underside if the tub. I may try the paint stripper and see if it works on it.

I was going for a play on words there..... LOL

So I've been working on getting a few of the details on my rolling chassis buttoned up. The PO installed an in-line electric fuel pump. I'm just wondering if that is needed for my TBI 350 and if so should I just go head and get a new one or should the old one be ok?

That won't provide enough pressure. You'll need a different pump.

And just to clarify, my TBI 350 has had the fuel injection removed and is running a Edelbrock 1406 4bbl carb.
