Hello,

I'm replacing my oil pump, fuel pump and water pump. I looked up the oil pump and found an option to buy a pump with higher volume. What advantage would this be? Would it cause any problems such as oil leaks? What should the oil pressure be for the 4 banger? Thank you. Barry

An oil pump for a 2.5 would be standard or high volume, not high pressure. Oil pressure is determined by the tolerances in your engine - for instance - ring gaps, bearing wear tolerances, pushrod end tolerance, etc...

Unless you are planning to add an oversize pan and have your engine spend more time at idle than running at road RPMs, you are better off with a standard oil pump.
Get a new one with the pickup tube already installed, it makes life easier.

With the recommended 5w-30 oil your pressure should be 20ish to 50psi - and will vary with temp/RPMs/etc...
