Does anyone have a source for a nice set of Laredo Wheels (5)?
thanks,

I have an 84 with the wide track, but I'd love to have 12.5 inch tires.... if there are no contra-indications than 15x8, but I wonder if there are fitment issues with the wide track and the 8 inch? any advice?

I run 15x8 wagon wheels on my wide tracks with 35's... tight when full turn but it does OK.

I'm thinking of 31 or 32.... on a modest lift, 2.5 OME..... glad to hear I should be ok with clearance.

you have to decide color and size and that will directly impact the cost... a really nice set of 15x8 chromes could run you $1000 or up, depending on condition.... I have seen some fetch even more for really nice ones.
They just aren't readily available... the whites are more prevalent and can be reconditioned...to rechrome a wheel I don't think many do that work (at least in the states) as to how the wheel is made and how much juice is required to get it done.

With 31"-32" tires, you could definitely run the 15x7's and be fine, and the 15x8's will be, too. I like the 31"-32" with no lift. I have 33x12.5 tires on 15x7's on a Jeep - not preferred but it came that way from PO.

As discussed, finding good 15x8's is harder and pricier than the 15x7's. We have places down in Texas that will re-chrome just about anything. However, re-chroming is uneconomical as it's $250-$300 per wheel (my last price check) plus cost of wheels. At some point, it may become worth it on 15x8 due to their rarity. You can find a great set of 15x7's now in the $800-$1,000 range. Cheaper if you can wait and scour the nearby craigslist. Even cheaper if find a set that just needs to have the clearcoat stripped and you strip and clean them.

Good luck hunting... they pop up on eBay from time to time, but they don't usually last long, no matter what the price is.

Ok, leap of faith....I found this set advertised on CL in Waco, TX. The seller is the owner of renegadeautogroup.com. 15x8 $500 for the set of five. He has listed them as “excellent shape” and they came off his Laredo w 30k miles. Shipping with Fastenal is $160 and he is dropping them off at the store tomorrow. He has removed the CL ad and seems like a straight up guy. I’ll keep you posted.

I asked about the center caps in the pic, the seller told me it didn't come with center caps and it turns out that the pic wasn't of the actual wheels. he did send me a pic that showed 5 great looking wheels. The wheels came in to Fastenal today.... fyi five 15x8 wheels will fit on a pallet. I don't know that i would use fastened for shipping again unless it is absolutely necessary, but $160 wasn't a horrible price.

The wheels look great... I would rate them a 9.5/10
