Leaving Transmission in gear

This maybe a stupid question, but you know what they say about questions.

If I leave my 8 parked for long periods of time with the parking brake on and also the transmission in 1st or reverse, will I cause he clutch plates any damage in doing so? This is no worse or better than leaving the transmission in neutral, right?

No it will not hurt the clutch at all. Personally I'd leave it in gear rather than applying parking brake for long periods of time, because the parking brake sometimes sticks form being in one position for a long time. Just my 2 cents.

X2, thats what i do in all my standard vehicles.

I agree with leaving it in gear.
One scrambler I had the parking brake would never stay set.
Knew one guy that forgot to leave it in gear and the parking brake popped out and it rolled down a hill and into a house.

parking brake, what's that? it's whatever gear i ended in... no hills here!
