OEM seat spring replacement

I'm in the process of restoring some Laredo seats. The covers themselves are in really good condition, but the springs in the seat bottom look like they rusted out. However, when you look under the seat bottom the "S" shaped seat spring is infused into the foam. Can this be replaced or has anyone had experience fixing this?

I have never had much success with that replacement. Clean cj frames are getting hard to find. Your best option is to source some lightly used passenger YJ frames and swap the covers.

Are the early YJ, non reclining seats the same where the covers will fit on them?

Yes. Similar if not exactly the same.
