Pedal Loses Pressure

Hey folks -- just when I get the 82 (inline 6, mpi) running, it's having trouble stopping. I have good pedal until the engine starts, then it goes close to the floor. I've checked the vacuum line and it seems OK -- am I out a booster diaphragm? Figure this has happened to someone here at some point .... Thanks!
 
Chances are you either have a leak someplace if you don't you need a new master cylinder.
 
I am going with a bad master cylinder. My 84 CJ7 stopped fine, other times the pedal went to the floor and I had to pump the pedal to stop. Easy fix and not an expensive part either. A leak in a line should be easy to find with the pressure the brakes operate at.

Are you losing fluid? I had fluid getting sucked through the booster and into the engine.
