Radiator set up recommendations

I was hoping to reach out to ask some of the brain trust for suggestions on a radiator/cooling system.

Background... I am currently in the middle of mostly original, resto mod of an '84 Scrambler, with a 258, bored 0.10 over, matched to a Chevy 700r automatic transmission. running 31 inch tires on CJ rims.

I have two other CJs and I would honestly drive them more, but both are prone to running hot.

I want to get this right. Please help me with suggestions:
mechanical vs electric
original vs two core vs 3 core
brands
Shroud vs open
Aluminum vs copper

any other suggestions.

I’m running a golen 4.6 stroker with a TF 999 lock up. I installed a Flo-Cooler water pump. I had my local radiator shop re-core my original radiator, and make it a 3 core. In 5 years, I’ve never had any cooling issues.
Where I live, the summers average in the high 90’s to low 100’s.

I also have 2 other scramblers that I had the factory radiators re-cored to 3 core. Worked well for me, and was able to retain the factory shrouds.

I am a fan of copper 👍

can a radiator shop fix a radiator that has a few bent/crushed fins?
 
If you re-core your radiator, that will include new fins. I don’t think that you can just have a new fins installed, but that would be a question for your radiator shop. I know that they make a comb that you can use to straighten the fins on a radiator.

I bought 1 of those fins repair things(a name brand one). It was a waste of money for me anyway. YMMV.
