i replaced the original 4cyl t4 to a stock 258 and t5. the original driveshaft doesnt fit anymore being 33”-36” …. i measured from yoke to yoke (middle of cv cap to cv cap) at ride height and stock suspension and its 32.5” ….. i cant seem to find a oem rear drive shaft that fits my setup… totally confused

how many combinations did cj8s have, the front is now way to short as well, but i did find the quadtrac auto from a 79 cj7 fits the front with a little modification

There were alot of different length shafts. At one time, Quadratec had a list of different shafts and lengths for different engine/Trans configurations. No idea if they still have it available.

nope first place i looked . no longer an option there

anyone have a 6cyl version laying around??? should be 28-32 range

Tatton driveshafts cheaper since you’re selling it. Collis truck parts local or Associated

This from the Factory parts manual might help in your search.
(The "88" is CJ8. 87 is CJ7, etc.)
Supposedly this would be correct for factory stock, new suspensions.
