Does anyone know did jeep make a factory option mat for the rear bed for the scrambler lookin at a scrambler has one in it but don't know the history!

Yes - and don't tell the seller but some would sell their first born for one.

Does it have "Jeep" stamped on it? There are a couple varieties of Jeep bed mats, I'm sure Jersey will be in shortly to cover them.

Welcome to the forum! Let us know when you get a chance about this new found CJ

I bought one just like that for my previous Scrambler, about 15 years ago. Got it from Jim Diamond in South Jersey.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that same mat also fit the bed of a particular model of the J truck, but I'm probably wrong about that.

I wish I had kept it, and the Jeep it was on, but that's how it goes.

I thought Jersey might be in here to re-explain it, but I think the CJ8 and J truck mats were subtly different, though may have nearly been interchangeable. One needed to be cut down to fit the other, if I remember right.

Sorry Walker, its been pretty busy around here lately! The mats are all different, and you cant make a scrambler one out of a J one, you cant even make one outta a Comanche one, however you can make the large rectangle part of you wanted (to cut one up) Its the long ears that you just cant get to create a true same exact thing out of. Also the logo winds up in a different spot, and there were even logo size changes over the years.
