Roll bar color?

Hi, all. I have a question about the roll bar color...was it ever optioned or offered in a color other than the body color? Just about all that I have seen match the body color. Mine currently is a contrasting color (not stock) and I like it better. I have seen a few others that way too but wasnt' sure if it was stock or just a personal change. Just a silly curiousity I suppose duriing my restoration.

I think originally they all came body color. The PO of my 8 painted it black. It doesn't look bad at all, just not original.

As far as I know, they all matched the body - from the factory. And, pretty much every aftermarket or home-built cage is black. When I built my first CJ, I matched the wheels - loved that look. For my current build, I went the quasi-factory look, e.g matched the body... albeit a very non-factory cage...

Thanks all. I had sort of thought so. All the old brochures I have show it the same color as the body. Mine is black (on a Beige body) and I like the contrast. The spare tire mount is black and it just looks good that way to me on a light body. Anyway, thanks much.
