Hello all. First of all, this is my first post in a long while and I give a big thanks in advance for any help. I blew the automatic transmission in my '83 Cj8 over the holidays. I got a manual for the Torque Flight 999 and got a Paul Zank video (on the 727) and decided to take a stab at rebuilding it myself. So far all is going well but I have found that the planetary gear sets have a fair amount of wear. I have had no luck locating these parts online. Does anyone have a source, suggestion, or know if they can be pruchased anymore? Thanks again.

I have a planetary gear set for the TF904 that also works with the TF999, I believe they are in perfect shape, when I had my TF999 rebuilt...the mechanic gave these to me for a spare set...if you are interested let me know and I can take some photos for you. I believe they are in perfect shape. 615-308-2973 (Nashville)

TF999 parts

Sorry for the delay in response. I appreciate your offer. I am going to try to repair the planet housing first. After closer inspection of the gears, they seem to be OK. They were the only parts in the tranny that did not still show hobbing marks on the teeth from the factory. They actually were not worn that bad. Thanks again, I will post another reply in a few days if my rebuild goes horribly wrong.

Sincerely,
Mark
