tF999 question

Hello all. A question for my fellow tf999 folk. I pulled my xcase and there is atf on the rear output shaft of the trans and atf in the dana 300 input shaft. I assume there should be none? Or is a tiny bit like shown normal? Is there another seal at the back of the trans when this adapter housing is removed? Or is something else. Thx!

Actually, upon thinking about it I think I answered my own question. The seal did its job and kept fluid out of the adapter housing. I think we are good to go.
