Thought I'd share a nice battle scar I got over the weekend.

Going to order some new hubs today, anyone have any suggestions? Warn, Superwinch, Supreme, Mile Marker, etc.

Invest your money in the earlier style 6-bolt type hub or the internal ford style and be done with the plastic 5-bolt style junk.

WARN makes a 5-bolt replacement (my dad put those on the 7 in 1986 after breaking a factory hub on one of his first runs) that is acceptable, but it's worth it to upgrade to the six-bolt style. I successfully ran Superwinch hubs for several years, but lusted after WARN Premiums for some reason and eventually switched.

Thanks for the input guys. I was looking into switching over to the 6 bolt style, but came across a set of 5 bolt style Superwhinch hubs with lifetime warranty for $100 and couldn't pass it up.

when changing over to the 6 bolt style, you may look at heli-coiling the bolt locations as well as use locking tabs to keep the bolts from loosening. The internal hib conversion will last longer with 35's.
