Hey - not sure if you're still around. But, I came across your CJ-8 build. I'm also in the Austin area, and I'm trying to find someone to build a nice sporty roll cage for mine. I can't find any information on "Cactus Custom Metals". Can you point me to them?

Thanks,
Ed

Hi JS, checked on the 258 motor I have and the code on it is 604-A-02 so it is not what you are looking for. Hope you find one and "keep on jeep ' n".
Have you scheduled anything for 2022? The SOA will be coming that year and we would like to coordinate with you as most people would like to do both events.

Yeah I have an idea in mind for the 20th Anniversary. Where are you guys wanting to go?
Ball Joints are in AMC/Jeep box. Part number was 8121792 which was superseded by 8122629 and on and on. One kit does one side upper and lower. One kit is missing the lower nut and the upper adjusting socket. They have no markings as to where they were mfg either on the ball joint or the boxes. I think I have the ,missing parts (used) but so will you. If interested I'll take $50.00 for both kits plus postage.

Hi There, this was from a long time ago... just came across it again. Still have them?

I haven't done a ball joint job in 20 years... I forgot... what is the "upper adjusting socket". A special tool? Or a part that I can re-use from my old ball joints?
Still have my 8. It's a daily driver with about 190K on the odo.

Down for heavy mods. Dana 60 rear axle, full float, Detroit locker, 4.88. Matching front D30 with 4:88's and a lunch locker. AX-15 and a hydraulic clutch. Keeping the D300.
Have a question on registering a WaterCar that uses the 1964 chassis. We are having issues registering in NY was hoping you might have a suggestion?

Not a sacrilege at all, how is it coming along? Completed? I have a few questions, mainly what wiring harness did you go with ?
