A friend came over with a complete working distributor for a 258 (from his bad arse Rambler). We put the cap and rotor on and it started right up. So then we started just using the individual parts to isolate the problem. The new coil I bought Thursday was bad. Brand new out of the package and bad.
We ended up putting the original coil back in and made sure connections were solid then it fired up. So not really sure what the problem was but maybe a connection was weird. But I took it apart and re-assembled many times. So it will probably happen again.
Question: I'm getting a new cab for my 96' dodge cummins 2500 club cab truck. I don't have a lift. How can I remove the old cab and install the new one without a lot of people?
