My De-Rustification Project

SO for the clutch I hear that I should go with a LUK kit. Here is a link to one on Amazon. It appears to have the throwout bearing and the pilot bushing/bearing. Would I need anything else? Will this one work? Do I need to worry about which ones work for my T 176 and my 258? Sorry for sounding dumb, but this will be my first clutch replacement that I do myself. And I definitely don't want to get the wrong stuff.

The equalizer came in today. Woot. Now I have no excuses for delaying the install of the ebrake cables. Maybe I will bundle up and go to the garage and do that tonight.

So i have now connected the new ebrake cables and equalizer, and reinstalled the rear brakes with new shoes. I will probably pull the drums off of the old axle and put them on this one as they were pretty new (last November). I normally don't like taking drum brakes apart and reinstalling, but this went pretty well.

Take a pair of pliers and bend the spring (on the anchor post) so you close the end a little. Less likely to open up. Just a little.
 
So it is off of the jack stands.

So tell me, is my old axle with 2.73 gearing have a one piece axle?

This Is a 2 pc axle
 
Thanks for the confirm. Now I need to plan on combining the gears of one with the axle of the other. Fun.
 
Sooner or later we all want to change to a 1 pc solid axle.
 
Just shocked that the PO installed it but had the 2.73 gears
 
I'm also going to be starting out with the 2.73 gearing in my 5.3/4L60E/241C conversion and work from there.
