EJS 2016

That would be our very own Jason Adams, chiefwaho on here. Jake White, our SOA president was with him at the time as well as John Case and Clif Adams (possibly others).

And that FC was driven by none other than Mark Allen, the head of Jeep design who is in charge of building all of the concepts.

Fantastic! That really is awesome. Well done, and a perfect example of the great members we have here! Represent!

Had to lend aid to the FC Jeep concept. Ran out of gas, towed them across the street to fill up. Met Mark Allen head of Jeep design, he was driving. Way COOL!!!!!!

Ran into the postal 8 the other day, short chat and on his way. Anyone want to see some pix of the adventure I've been taking, check out -

There's a ton of stuff that's rather uninteresting to you, but some fair shots, if your bored.

Wish I could've met more Scrambler guys, but alls good.

Glad everyone is there (safely) and having fun. Lord willing, next year I'll be within striking distance.

Headed to town in the Scrambler today...first time I've driven it since I registered it on March 1. Drove my truck to town yesterday. Holy crap...it's crowded. I tried to go to the car wash but there was a line at every bay...which is extremely rare. So I thought I'd try again on my way home after SAR training last night, but there was even a line at the car wash at 10 p.m. I should have taken pictures...I was the only non-Jeep in line for the short time I stayed...before giving up. But so far, I haven't seen a single Scrambler this week. Looking forward to checking out the Jeep concepts today and hitting the vendor display at the arena.

The truck needs to be washed since I drove in a blizzard up to a staging area a couple of days ago to rescue some Jeepers who tried to drive from Gateway to Castle Valley on the Castleton Gateway Road. Due to the condition of the road, we couldn't even bring the people out on snowmobiles. We had to helicopter them out...and it took a large snowcat to recover their Jeep the next day. The road between Gateway and Castle Valley IS NOT open this time of year. Please don't attempt it.

If anyone finds a cool "50th Annual Easter Jeep Safari" shirt I would love to have one! I'd pay for it and shipping and your trouble. Size Large. Or a cool patch or decal would work too. Thanks!!

Nice pictures Cobound, didn't go this year so your pictures were a needed fix.

Me too on the Jeep shirt!!! XL. I'll cover shirt plus shipping plus something else cool (to be named later)!!!

I would love a cool XL shirt also with shipoing and such obviously paid for.

Didn't see all the t-shirt requests until after I got home yesterday...and the vendor display closed last night. There were some 50th anniversary shirts available. Sorry kids.

Of the 4 trillion jeeps I saw yesterday, I only saw 2 Scramblers. I saw BigWalton's Postal parked at the arena and another vehicle that was hardly recognizable as a Scrambler in the parking lot at the Jeep corporate display. Mine drew a crowd in several places. We are rare.

Thanx, Fox, didn't get enough of my own, but hard to do when you're driving :D

I saw a few beef 8's...sick ones. I had a fair crowd at mine occasionally too. Love it, but that place is owned by JK's now. I remember when TJ's ruled it, now it's not even close!

I thought this year was extremely mellow, less vendors and I didn't even see AEV out there set up, really wanted another look at those Brute Double Cabs!! Also, Potato Salad Hill was terribly lame this year. But we hit a lot of trails this year, stayed out and busy running.

I have some custom t's designed for the trip, had a lot of requests for them too...posted a pic below, can get something going if people want to make an order. I'd need a minimum order of 15....but I have folks that want them already so I could add yours to my next order.

Check them out - shipping would of course be additional:

We got tired of the weak shirts out there so we've designed our own, coozies too. Anyway, we could do paypal if anyone is interested...maybe start a separate conversation via PM if you are, keep it off this thread...I'm not trying to solicit, just tossing out a possibility cuz it was asked.

Anyway...great week on the rocks, the Jeep flexed and crawled beautifully!!

See more of you out there next year!

Just a couple of pix of getting the Jeeps out of town onto their trails this morning...grabbed by my girlfriend as I was blocking traffic at 4th North and Main. We were kinda at the north end of town with only the northbound trails passing us. The center of town was insane. The permit from the state allows us to close Highway 191 for 19 minutes to do the Safari lineup. It was completed this morning in 19 minutes. The second photo is marred by a great view of Moab's hideous and huge motel/hotel going up right in the middle of town. It dwarfs the Rodeway Inn next to it. When completed, Moab will have it's first underground parking garage. I don't know how we ever got by without one.

I saw 2 other Scramblers this morning. I'm still somewhat amazed by the attention the Scrambler got every time I parked somewhere...or the number of people who pointed as we drove by. They didn't really do that when I sold it 20 years ago.

Awesome pics! I was there for EJS 2002 with my '98 TJ. Haven't been back with a Jeep since then. My Scrambler will roll there one day!

Thanks for reporting. I've never been there and prolly never will. I reckon that Commando would have drawn s crowd too.
