If someone would either template one or "loan" me one I'd replicate it as I really want one too! So, if you're reading this and have one help a brother out.

Thoughts on how to template one. Keep in mind its on my Jeep and has Ramsey center section. The unmounted one is way buried in my shed, as in hasn't seen direct sunlight in over a well over decade buried.

I think that they are flat or if anything they have a "bend" to them and are not formed concave/convex. Remember it's Jeep that we're talking about and it's been done as simple and cost effectively as possible.
To template, maybe lay flat on paper, trace, measure any height differences from bends etc. I need an 8274 center section but once I get the rough basics I know I can make it close.
Merry Christmas and PM me your number if you'd like to discuss further

I could bring one to the southern CJ swap meet in the spring you could borrow for a while. Wouldn't want to take a chance shipping it. I'll be needing a Ramsey center section and another one of these eventually for the Jambo. I like your thinking. You are correct they are flat , just some fun bends to make [emoji846]

And you could probably have any metal shop bend some 1/4" to create the 8274 mount.

Jersey - You've got a deal. I'm right on your way to the ATL! Stop by and the steak dinner is grilled in the back yard with plenty of IPA's!

I had a few Ramsey and Warn centers made up. They weren't cheap. Used a special size pipe that I had them special order to match the brushguards. Took a few screw ups to make them but they're spot on. The brushguard was too expensive to correctly reproduce and I'm too OCD to have used any size tubing. But I was told it can be done. This was a large company that builds speciality equip. for offshore rigs. Luckily I was introduced to a guy there that was into building off road tube buggies and roll cages or they would not have made my peanuts order as a walk in.

I bet if someone approached a company like jeeptubes and told them the need/desire for correct reproduction brush guards it could be done. All they should need (in theory) is a perfect example to generate a gig which would allow mass production with the same QC that jeep originally had. And of course some evidence that these are worth investing in for profit.

How many interested buyers are out there that would purchase these brushguards? I'd guess no more than 5 if they sod for $500 each. It sure sounds like a high initial expense to even think about even breaking even on the production cost of just 10 outer sections. Now add in the possibilities of either no winch, Ramsey, or Warn winch centers(because nobody will be able to agree on a singe type), you have a lot of parts to get rid of......Just sayin'....

My thoughts are these, one, they're hard as hens teeth to come by. Two, I want one. Three, I can build one with a template. And lastly, I'm a nice guy and would make a few extra for my buddies but not so many so as to "dilute" the market.
For as long as I've been looking/asking about these this is the furthest I've seen any discussion go to date.

I've got one with the non-winch center section. I've been looking for a Warn 8274 center section for a long time and of the two I've found neither owner would part with (I don't blame them). So, I'd be willing to lay mine down on some cardboard and trace it and send to someone that wanted to make one but I'd sure hope someone could make the Warn center as well!

CJ brushguards are not rare. I've sold 5 of them.

I never liked as they are flimsy and shake like aftermarket side mirrors, but are correct.

The hardest challenge in reproduction is the "die" used to make nice shaped & angled end terminal.
