Maybe if you can post a pic of your tube someone else ( I'm nowhere near mine right now) can compare to theirs to see which one you have.

I am not the original owner. So it's possible I have the wrong tube. I also wonder, could there be different OIL PANS with different capacities?

I guess MEASURING the tube would be a good idea also. Anyone know the correct measurement?

Here's another possibility. I am seeing some sources saying 5.5 Qts. My filter does NOT look like it could hold a Full Quart. I think the filters hold 1/2 quart. I think 5.5 would put me closer to the full mark.

Also, is it possible filter sizes were significantly larger 40 years ago!?
