Pulled this out of a carriage house in Northern Virginia

Crazy how similar our 8s are to each other.

I'd be curious how Mist Silver would shine up. Mine had been rattle canned silver over the original paint and couldn't be saved. I kept the VIN tag Mist Silver to see the difference between original and the MOPAR silver I picked during my build.

Mhinchliffe you got me a Valentines present?

Finally getting started. Brakes were seized so that's priority one. She's gotta roll.

Ordered all new brake and oversized fuel lines.

Why oversized fuel lines? Well, I got something sweet going in there.

In the parts collecting phase but have a pretty good start. I got a couple of donor Waggys and one had this.

Got it running and sounds really good. Have a couple of transmission options as well. There's a TF727 behind this, a TH400 in another donor (Qtrack-needs output shaft) and a 2WD T-18 (needs bell housing and output shaft kit). I need one of these for this 8 and another for a YJ to CJ conversion withban AMC 360 out of one of the donors. Need to research which will fit better. The 8 is staying driver's side drop with this Chief Dana 44 cut down like I did on my black Scrambler.

Did you know it was a 401 when you bought it?
Suspected, but didn't know. It's in an 87 Wagoneer. I did some trade work for a guy's sister and she only owed me about $200. It ended up in her estate. Her other Wagoneer that I worked on/help her sell had a 401 in it. This one had sat for a few years.

I got sidetracked. I've parted out 3 YJs and put the 258 from the 8 in my buddies YJ. Finally got the Waggy in the shop to pull the 401. Scrambler is still coming apart. Planning on having the frame and bottom side blasted in April.
