    2019 EJS and SOA National/Sand Hollow prep/trip

is that M-715 concept real...the colors/tone, etc. almost make it look like a computer generated image? But I like it....not to mention the bottle opener on the rear bumper. The J-6 is sweet and I kinda like the integrated roto-pak can on the gladiator concept...fills in the long tail.

    Name That Part!

I agree....CJ-2A, 3A, 3B or similar flat fender model DJ trans hump cover. The extra metal ring at the shifter boot and right side I have not seen before, but it could be a DJ thing.

Someone keeps flagging my CJ8 CL ad for removal.......

I would say no, it should do 60, but your not going to get there in 3.6 seconds either! If you were out west in the mountains it would be wheezing at elevation.

Someone keeps flagging my CJ8 CL ad for removal.......

They are somewhat under-powered with an Iron Duke, but then a again so are the models with a 258 six cyl in my opinion. I've driven both in a CJ-7 and the Iron Duke is surprisingly not that bad..... the beauty of the Iron Duke model is that it will have some decent gears.

You and I must think an awful lot alike....the thought of offering to trade my Scrambler for that Cherokee did cross my mind! And I'll go on record...James - consider me 1st right of refusal if you ever decide to sell that sweet SJ!

I had an '85 Grand Waggy for several years, SOA on 33's....my kids always loved it too. It was a great overland/camping rig.

Salt - when is the road safe?

I run mine on occasion in the winter, but only to go snow-wheeling and the roads have to be dry or so cold and snowy no salt spray can exist. But normally it sits in the garage until the salt is washed off the roads with a rain or two.

    JKU lift kits

Update: I went with a 2" coil spring BDS kit (vs. spacers) and Bilstein 5100 shocks... Turned out perfect for our wants/needs. Rides excellent, better than stock. Not necessarily softer, but not rougher either, just better...smoother, more stable. Not sure how much of that may be due to the...

    Jeep Snow Pics...Post 'em up!

I love it...but then again I like to ski and snow shoe, anything outdoors, etc. Most people that complain about winter around here seem to like the couch more than anything! My only dislike about winter is the salt on the roads.

    Gladiator

Saw a manufacturers fleet vehicle over the weekend up here in the NW LP of MI. Unfortunately, the "owner" was not around to beg for info or a chance to ride/drive. (I'm sure I passed him on the hiking trail though...) It had been disguised at one point based on all the sticky velcro glue...

I agree, and obviously the price point on a JK/JKU hasn't caused poor sales...

    Gladiator

I totally agree with this statement...only problem is the price point...the XJ was relatively affordable, the JKU not as much so.

Detroit Locker vs Detroit TrueTrac... Opinions?

Yep, I have one too (in my CJ8) and same opinion. Used to run a spool. They do still push a little in the snow. I also run a Detroit in the front axle.
