    Classic Enterprises panel lip?

I did find that I had a few beads on the top of the panels so I recreated those after fitting the panel in and spot welding everything on the underside. Thanks!

Axle Rebuild - Gear Replacement Necessary?

I'm starting to think about the rebuild of the axles. They have clearly been leaking out of every seal for years so I think all new bearings, seals, ball joints, and u-joints (also one-pieces in the rear). I think I'm going to stick with the stock 3.54 ratio since the #s from the calculator look...

Hallmark Scrambler off to the paint shop.

I needed that laugh this morning. Great idea! Mind if I ask where you buy these? I poked around ebay but didn't see many that look "stock". I love the idea of creating a mini version of my build, a sort of "vision" since I can't draw for sh*t.

    GM Electric Conversion Package

I read another article about the ZeroLabs platform that estimated the cost will be $200k for an all-wheel-drove version. o_O I do think we're starting to see EV battery technology advance to the degree that cost will start to come down. I like the idea of the GM and ElectricGT offerings...

    Scout the Scrambler

I haven't fully decided yet but I'm leaning towards a wipe-down with Ospho, then Eastwood's 2k epoxy primer over everything, followed by their 2k chassis black on the frame and undercarriage. I'll probably also use their internal frame coating inside the frame and the body supports.

    Scout the Scrambler

2k. Pricey but I'm glad I did it. It revealed a few problem areas under the multiple repaints that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

    GM Electric Conversion Package

I've actually talked to the ElectricGT guys a few times about their builds. They've built some really cool FJs. It seems like their aim is to have a true plug-and-play solution akin to one of the full drivetrain swap packages from Novak, which run about half that. One of the owners has a...

    Scout the Scrambler

It's rock hard and the blasting didn't make a dent in it so I'm inclined to leave it be.

    Scout the Scrambler

Since it's factory should I leave it or spend the time to remove?

    Scout the Scrambler

Back from the blaster, no major surprises other than this cement-like seam sealer looking stuff on the inside of the firewall that was applied by a blind person with a brush three sizes too big. Is that from the factory? Should I heat/grind it out?

    Classic Enterprises panel lip?

Gotcha, thanks for the intel! I started a build thread so I'll try and post my progress (and many more questions I'm sure to have) there. Good luck with the multiple projects. One is plenty for me ha.

    Classic Enterprises panel lip?

Wow! Amazing work. For those corner bed pieces, are the spot welds all that's needed or should I do that and then weld the seams from the top?

    Classic Enterprises panel lip?

Yep, those panels exactly. Thanks for the answer and the tip!

    Classic Enterprises panel lip?

So I'm getting everything back from the blaster on Friday and I went ahead and ordered the panels from Classic that I already know I need, namely the ones under the roll bar mounts. I'm an ok welder but this will be my first crack at auto body sheet metal patching. My question is, do I leave the...
