A couple quick possibilities to check... Are you certain the engine block has a good ground to the frame/battery negative post? (Just wondering if the ground strap was installed when the engine swap was done) Alternators have to be "excited" to create output voltage, some are self-excited...

Gotcha, I assumed the existing panel was 200 amp by the size of the enclosure (panel) and the conduit feeding it. Thanks for the link, (should have remembered it), love the "tugger". :thumbsup:

Are you planning on installing a sub panel off the existing panel, or a new feed-thru main panel where the the existing service comes in?
