    81 2.5l 151 Engine

It shouldn't "need" either of those things. I'm curious if something is up with the valve stems, the lifters or the lash. Are the valve stems straight and are the tops flush and square? If they are worn funny on the tips it can cause rocker walk. Same with the rocker surface itself. What...

    1984 CJ-7 LS upgrade

The "pantyhose" sleeve for sure. A partial surround would also help deflect some dust, as well as help manage intake air temps a little keeping the header heat at bay (somewhat). I cringe at all the "cold air intakes" that are actually gobbling up all the radiant heat straight off the headers....

    1984 CJ8 with quadra trac

I'd be curious if the VIN you are referencing, assuming it's the windshield VIN, matches the frame VIN. This thing could be quote a hodgepodge.

    Roll bar lights?

IMHO, I think it has to be at least 4, preferably 5 if all round. The 2 round Daylighters on the outsides with 2 square fogs in the middle is kind of a neat 80's retro look too. It's all a matter of preference. I also agree with the dislike of the multi-lens headlights in a CJ, but dagum if...

    Brake Bleeding Problems

I have no help on the brake situation, but the matter of "liking" things (post reaction emojis) is a paid membership option. Unless you mean how are we liking the current state of things, unto which we should probably just stick to the brake bleeding topic....

What do you do to keep the rodents away?

Google "Bucket Mouse Trap". They work really well, especially if you pour some cheap wine in the bucket. Drunk mice can't swim.

    1981 Forest service Scrambler.

My '82 is from CO...and it had manual brakes, manual steering, 4cyl, hydraulic clutch, and 4.10s. What is it with mountain jeeps and manual accessories? Guess hikers have stronger arms/legs than flatlanders...

    On the bench-sort of

You've probably seen more than you realize. Big outboard boat motors are vertically mounted like that. Most everything is pressure lubricated in an engine, so orientation shouldn't matter. Only thing that may not be pressure lubricated is the cam geartrain, but that's on the bell side of the...

    My '82 CJ-8 "Rambler"

Whelp, axle secured! Picked up an early 90's slip-on-drum 14-bolt off CL for cheap...65" wms-wms, so the 67" wms "Half-Ultimate" 60 front is going to be the target. Probably recruit @sdsupilot to help me narrow the 60 at some point. Next step....clean the garage...
