I love the hell out of my JW Speakers but they definitely look different.
I did similar but somewhat less cutting to fit the JWSs.
I don't mind the look of the JWS but they are just too pricey for me.
I was going to post a link to the KC LED’s, but it looks like they’re no longer available. They were under $500/pair and looked like standard halogen bulbs. I’m guessing the current inflation has priced them out of my budget.
I was surprised at how much cutting I needed to do. I centered a roll of electrical tape then used a pneumatic 3” cut off saw to make the hole. I did finish with a circular flap wheel to dull the border.
I am questioning myself now, although I even wrote in my project book that the KC LED lamps looked like sealed beams. I’m wondering if the article I read used the wrong illustration, because I remember them looking like what KC now lists as a H4 conversion headlamp. Oh well. I’m going to install my go-to- Sylvania SilverStar lamps for now.
Those are pretty good looking. I like the looks of those Holley ones posted above, but I think they might be too deep. Those Quadratec ones look like they might work. I might have to give them a shot.
I’m sure they would fit great with a stock cooling system- and in that case I would probably bite the bullet and buy a pair. But I have an oversized radiator- about 5 inches wider- so my clearance at the rear of the headlamp bucket is minimal. I’ve been looking at Qtec ones this morning- I’m getting to really like them. I don’t need them immediately so I’ll probably hold off and see if I luck into a sale.
