alternator issues with 4.2 to 4.0 stroker swap

A couple quick possibilities to check... Are you certain the engine block has a good ground to the frame/battery negative post? (Just wondering if the ground strap was installed when the engine swap was done) Alternators have to be "excited" to create output voltage, some are self-excited...

Shop addition 30' x 40' - Adams Family Scrambler World HQ

Gotcha, I assumed the existing panel was 200 amp by the size of the enclosure (panel) and the conduit feeding it. Thanks for the link, (should have remembered it), love the "tugger".

    Installing an Eaton TrueTrac differential

Coming along nicely. One thing you may look at while your back there... if you rotate the brake line tee fitting (and remount on a angle bracket) you will gain more droop and avoid a kink in the flex line.

    Well finally start building

Here is some information that may be pertinent to your situation. One is a YouTube video by M.O.R.E for the installation of their kit, the other is the install instructions with pics. They both have some information on shackle location and angles for their product that may be of help...

    Well finally start building

Just my :twocents:... It appears you already have shackles, and the sleeve locations through the frame are already determined. Why not just install what you have and once you have the frame fully loaded you can determine which way to go, swapping to boomerang shackles if needed should be a...

    What's on your Work Bench?

Yeah we had both a propane and a battery (lead acid) powered fork lift, the battery powered one could out lift the propane due to the added battery weight.

    Heater box and plenum repair

J-B Weld makes a lot of different material specific products now (compared to the old days), maybe contact them with the info you have and they could point you in the right direction. Someone at one time recommended the J-B Weld PlasticWeld for a plenum but I'm unsure if they had actually used it.

    Thoughts on the 360.

Here's a post from years ago with some good info and members that had done an Hemi. https://www.cj-8.com/threads/jeep-hemi.6373/ Also, if you search "Hemi" and under member put "rubclt" you can find his two build threads. Tread carefully or you may get in deeper than you originally intended...
