That was my understanding also when I was looking for power steering pump information when I was building the Project 1/2 scale.

The Volvo PS pumps were variable speed and were run by the CAN bus. If you do not have a driver for the pump, it will run at a low default speed.

Does it spit and pop out the intake?

Have you recurved that distributor or are you still running the two large silver springs that came in it?

I trim gaskets to fit but that's just how I am........ I use a sanding drum.

To me, those gaskets look a bit big for the port sizes on both the intake and heads.

So how well does the gasket fit the heads?

Your also need to verify the gaskets against the cylinder head ports and against the intake manifold ports.
