Vote for rebuilding the T-5. It's a very good trans considering overdrive 5th gear. And for recreational driving and tires no larger than 30" it'll serve you well. I'm doing the exact same thing but the cost of rebuild here from a reputable shop is about 650. Warranted. Good luck, Drew

Have you checked your front end alignment? Do you see a different wear pattern on your RF and LF tires? What size tires you running? That's the first thing I would check. Or in some rare cases you might check to see if your front springs are a matched set, i.e., same length and width...

Thanks, I think you're right. The earlier one (2K1TJ has one) was a smaller window but some of the earlier ones, maybe '81 or so, had no shoulder belts, that must have come later and that must be what I have. Thanks, Drew
