I was just thinking after reading the motor thread that I need to start building the AMC multiport manifolds for those that do not want to convert to a Chevy motor. I've already made some for the 440 Dodge, 400 Pontiac, 455 Olds, 304/401 AMC in the past already. Is there any interest in this at all?

Why hells yeah, What system will you need to run with it. GM? CPI? TPI?
Vortec? Edelbrock is way too proud of there stuff, 2700.00 for there port FI for a AMC is nutz, at that rate I could sell my built 360 and 'gasp' buy a RamJet 350 with a 3 yr 36k warranty and everystuff.

You could put anything from the Holley Commander 950, FAST, Accell, Motec, Haltech, etc. to run the motor. That choice would be for you all because I really don't feel like doing any tuning over the phone...LOL

I'm not really sure yet. I need to document my time and materials from start to finish go get a good number to post. I'll try to have one done in the next month or so. Here's a pic of a 440 manifold I did a while ago....

Wow.... just wow... I'd have to think you'd sell a ton of them if you could come in under the aforementioned versions (Edelbrock, etc.) You'd be looking at a market of all sorts of vehicles, not just Scramblers.

With the internet... if you could turn out a nice product, word would spread like mad.

I would be interested in a 401 one. I know of another who might be. I know nothing about fuel injection, so a list of the other parts would be helpful. Don't you need some sort of circuit board to run it?

I guess it sounds like I need to put one together then. I'll try to get started this week on that then.

After doing some research, it's close the same price to go to Indy Heads and get their manifold than it is for me to make one myself. Of course they can manufacture them in bulk a little cheaper than I could do one or two of them.

If anyone is interested in heading up a group buy I would be interested in a Howell TBI unit.

I had a very bad experience with Howell. I put one on my 401 it ran terrible. No low end cough and puke like a carb. When they try to fix it they charge you for a new chip. 1st $40 2nd$60 3rd $80 after that I sent it back. I lost about $200 because of parts that can't be returned.
I wouldn't put one of those pieces of crap on a lawnmower. They can make it work on a Chevy but not a AMC.
401 CUBIC INCHES OF FIRE BREATHING NASH.

Depending on the manifold type(single/dual plane) and the cost of the manifold itself, it'll be somewhere around $875 for the manifold with injector rails. I have to build a manifold for a 427 Ford FE motor next week. I'll have to post up some pics of that one when it's done.
